TPO Membrane
TPO is a kind of single-ply roofing membrane and the acronym stands for Thermoplastic Polyolefin. TPO refers to the primary chemical composition of the roof membrane. Because TPO roofing is a single-ply thermoplastic membrane, it is installed in a single membrane application without multiple layers. There are several different ways the membrane can be attached including mechanically attached, adhered, ballasted and plate bonded.

(6828 N Clark St Chicago, IL 60626) The Job needed a complete tear-off done, because the building had no insulation, so we decided to go with the 2.6- GAF ISO Insulation. The costumer also wanted 6 new Velux Skylights, so we installed the frames. The TPO was Fully Adhered system installed and TPO brand was GAF 60Mil (3O Years of Material Warranty) |
EPDM Membrane
EPDM is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) widely used in low-slope buildings in the United States and worldwide. Its two primary ingredients, ethylene and propylene, are derived from oil and natural gas. EPDM is available in both black and white, and is sold a broad variety of widths, ranging from 10 feet to fifty feet, and in two thicknesses, 45 and 60 mils. EPDM can be installed either fully adhered, mechanically attached or ballasted, with the seams of the roofing system sealed with liquid adhesives or specially formulated tape.
Modified -Torch Down
Modified bitumen roofing is primarily used on flat or low-slope commercial roofs. Depending on the type and material, these membranes may be installed as part of a two-layer system or as part of a multi-ply system. Modified typically comes in membrane form, in rolls that are installed directly onto the substrate via an adhesive. The material may be heat welded, cold-adhered, or in some cases, self-adhered.
Silicone Coating
Silicone roof coatings are arguably the most widely used chemical formulation in the roof restoration sector, and this popularity is well justified. They provide an effective means to restore and safeguard a diverse range of commercial roofing materials, including metal, modified bitumen, single-ply membranes, EPDM, TPO, built-up roofs, concrete roof decks, and spray polyurethane foam.
